Privacy Policy

The short version

marchforthmethod.com sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising tags. It stores nothing on your device. There is no form on the site, so there is no field anywhere for you to type your name into.

Two things are worth knowing anyway. Your browser tells our host who you are in the ordinary way every web server is told. And the fonts on this page come from Google. Both are covered below.

What your browser sends anyway

The site is hosted by Netlify. Like every web host, Netlify's servers record the requests they serve: your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, the page you asked for, the page you came from, and the time. That is ordinary server operation, not something we switched on, and we use it only to keep the site up and to understand whether it is broken.

We do not tie those logs to a person, and we do not export or sell them. Netlify handles that data as our processor under its own privacy terms.

Google Fonts

Two typefaces on this page, Anton and Rock Salt, load from Google's servers at fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. That means Google receives your IP address and user-agent each time a page loads. It is the only third-party request this site makes, it sets no cookies, and it happens before you click anything.

If you would rather not make that request, a content blocker that blocks Google Fonts will stop it. The page still works. The headlines fall back to a narrow system typeface, and the body text is unaffected because that font is served from this site.

When you book a call

Every "Book a call" button on this site is a link that takes you to Calendly. Nothing is embedded, and nothing is collected before you click. Once you are on Calendly you have left this site, and Calendly is the one collecting your name, email address and time zone, under its own privacy policy and as its own data controller.

This site sends a strict referrer policy with every page, so Calendly is told only that you arrived from marchforthmethod.com, not which page you were reading.

When a booking comes through, we see what you typed into Calendly. We use it to hold the call and to follow up about working together. We do not add you to a mailing list off the back of a booking, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

When you email

Mail sent to chris@marchforthmethod.com arrives in Chris's inbox and stays there. We use it to reply to you and to run whatever work follows. We do not sell it, rent it, or hand it to a third party for their own purposes.

How long we keep things

Server logs age out on our host's normal schedule. Bookings and email threads are kept as long as they are useful to the work, and are deleted when they are not.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address at the end of this page and we will do it. Because we collect so little, the honest answer to most such requests is a short one.

There is nothing to opt out of on the site itself. No cookie banner appears because there are no cookies to consent to.

Children

March Forth sells to businesses and their sales teams. The site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. There is no archive: the version you are reading is the one in force.
